- Central Armed Forces personnel.
- Members of a force subject to the terms of the Army Act of 1950.

- To be enrolled in the Electoral Roll, an eligible NRI applicant must submit Form 6A to the Electoral Registration Officer / Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of the constituency where their Indian residential address falls.
- For their purpose, the address on their current passport is used.
- Form 6A can be submitted in person, mailed, or completed online on the state’s website for the Chief Electoral Officer.
- A self-attested copy of the relevant documents should be enclosed with the application form. In a later section, a list of the required documents is provided.
- Your application will be verified and processed by the Electoral Registration Officer / Assistant Electoral Registration Officer of the relevant constituency.
- The Electoral Registration Officer shall dispatch a Booth Level Officer to the affected polling area for field verification. Booth Level Officers will visit the applicant’s home address as listed in their passport. He will check the self-certified copies of documents and provide a declaration based on the applicant’s relationships. If no relative is available or willing to give a declaration to verify the documents, or if the Electoral Registration Officer is dissatisfied with the relatives’ verification of the documents, the documents will be sent to the Indian Mission in the country where the applicant resides for verification.
- When the verification is complete, you will be notified by post to the address in the foreign country specified in Form 6A and by SMS to the mobile number specified in Form 6A. Electoral rolls are also available for viewing on the website of the State’s concerned Chief Electoral Officer.
Offline
To apply for your NRI Voter ID offline, you must go to an ERO in India, fill out the form, submit your documents, and submit your application. If you want to apply from outside India, you must do some online research. The form can be downloaded and printed from the ECI website. Fill it out, then scan it.
