What are the Requirements of Downloading the Voter ID Card?

1. You must be a citizen of India and have attained the age of 18 years or above.
2. You must have a valid Voter ID Card number, which is assigned to you by the Election Commission of India.
3. Your mobile number or email address should be linked to your Voter ID Card, as you will receive an OTP on either of these to verify your identity.
4. You should have access to a device with an active internet connection to visit the National Voter Service Portal (NVSP) website.
5. You should have a PDF reader installed on your device if you want to download your Voter ID Card in PDF format.
6. If you want to download your Voter ID Card in PVC format, you should be ready to pay a nominal fee and provide your delivery details.

Note that if you have not yet registered as a voter, you will have to apply for a new Voter ID Card by submitting the required documents and completing the verification process. You can also update your voter details such as name, address, and other personal details by visiting the NVSP website.

How to Download a Digital Voter ID Card via NVSP?

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to download your digital voter ID online:

1. Firstly, navigate to the National Voters’ Service Portal.
2. Look for the option to download e-EPIC and click on it.
3. If you’re an existing user, log in with your details, or register with your mobile number if you’re a new user.
4. Enter your EPIC number, a unique 10-digit number printed on your voter ID card. Alternatively, you can enter your Voter ID application form number.
5. Verify the details displayed on the screen.
6. Validate your mobile number by entering the OPT (one-time password) you receive.
7. Click the ‘download e-EPIC’ button to download your digital voter ID.
8. The non-editable PDF format of your digital voter ID will be downloaded.

How to Download Digital Voter ID via Digilocker?

1. Go to the official Election Commission of India portal
2. Choose the “Download e-EPIC” option.
3. Enter your e-EPIC number and the one-time password sent to your registered mobile number.
4. Click the “Download Election Card Online” button to download your digital voter ID.

Can a Soft Copy of a Voter ID Card Be Downloaded? 

A Cardholder cannot download a soft copy of the Voter ID Card online due to including a hologram purely for security purposes. A cardholder can view their information on the National Voters Service Portal.

Individuals can access or view all voter ID card information by inputting their date of birth, gender, residence address (including State) or EPIC Number.
