Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The Aadhaar Seva Kendra, is a single-stop destination established to cater to all the diverse requirements and services related to Aadhaar. According to the UIDAI, the Aadhaar Seva Kendra provides Aadhaar enrolment and updates of services to the visitors. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra is equipped with all the state-of-the-art facilities to provide a pleasant experience to citizens. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra has also made special provisions for the physically disabled and elderly. 

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has proposed to establish 114 Aadhaar Seva Kendra spread across the 53 cities in India. These centres are dedicated to catering to Aadhaar requirements and services of all the major metro cities, Union Territories, and State capitals.  

How to Find your Nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Citizens who want to find the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra can do so by implementing the following steps: 

Step 1: Visit the official portal of the UIDAI.

Step 2: Navigate towards the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab located at the top of the screen. 

Step 3: Click on the ‘Locate an Enrolment Center’ option. 

Step 4: You’ll be redirected to the page assigned for the Location of the Nearest Enrolment Center/Aadhaar Seva Kendra 

Step 5: You’ll have three options to locate the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. 

Locate from State

Required to mention the Name of the state, district, sub-district, village, city, and town  

Locate from PIN Code.

You’ll be required to mention the six-digit Pincode to locate the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. 

Locate from Search Box.

You’ll be required to mention the name of the city, state, locality, and district. 

Step 6: The user should also mention the characters exhibited in the Captcha

Services Available at Aadhaar Service Kendra

The Aadhaar Service Kendra is centrally air-conditioned with a variety of services available. Special provisions have been made to make the place disabled-friendly. The Aadhaar Seva Kendra is operational 7-days a week from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (IST). The citizens can avail of the following services from an Aadhaar Seva Kendra. 

• Enrolment of the Aadhaar
• Making required updates in the information featured in the Aadhaar, such as the Name, Address, Gender, Mobile number, e-mail ID, or date of birth.
• Making updates on the biometric data featured in Aadhaar Cards such as photos, fingerprints, and iris scans.
• The state-of-the-art facility also allows the visitors to download and take home a printout of their Aadhaar Card. 

It is to be noted that the services mentioned above are only exclusive to the citizens of India. The Non-resident Indians (NRIs) are also eligible to avail of the benefits of the Aadhaar Seva Kendra.   

Acceptable list of Documents at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The citizens are required to produce Identity Proof, Address Proof, and Proof of Birth in case they’re applying for a New Aadhaar Card or want to make necessary updates to the existing one. 

Documents Applicable as Identity Proof 

Any of the following documents are acceptable as proof of identity in the Aadhaar Service Kendra.

Documents Applicable for Proof of Birth  

Any one of the following documents is acceptable as proof of Birth in the Aadhaar Service Kendra. 

• Passport 
• PAN Card 
• Birth Certificate 
• Government Board or University issued Marksheet 
• Government Issued ID or certificate featuring photograph and date of Birth. 
• Certificate issued by EPFO featuring the name, date of birth, and photograph. 

Charges of Aadhaar Services at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The Aadhaar Seva Kendra provides various services to the citizens of India regarding Aadhaar. Find below the fee charged by them for their respective services. Some of the services are free of cost, while other services levy very nominal fees.

The visitor can either make the payments at the cash counter or pay the fees online while booking an appointment from the official portal of UIDAI. The charges mentioned are inclusive of all the taxes. 

Service Process at Aadhaar Seva Kendra,

The Aadhaar Seva Kendra, has been designed to follow a 4/8/16 operative station model to cater to 250/500/1000 service requests per day. 

The citizens can avail of the option to make their booking online in advance through the Appointment Management System (AMS). And an automated Token Management System (TMS) for citizens who have selected the walk-in option.

The cardholders can follow the service process for updating information on their Aadhaar. 

Step 1: Book an appointment online from the UIDAI Website or Walk-in directly to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. 

Step 2: The visitor that has already made the booking online is required to produce their appointment slip. The visitor who has directly walked in can contact the help desk. 

Step 3: The visitor must visit the ‘Token Desk’. 

Step 4: The visitor shall verify their documents from the verifier present. 

Step 5: Pay the fees for the services requested at the cash counter. 

Step 6: The operator desk would perform the requested services regarding updates and enrolment.
