Grievance Redressal
You can file a complaint on the UIDAI public grievance portal if you are an Indian citizen. In order to access the portal, you must register yourself. The following steps will guide you through the grievance process.
Step 1: Visit the UIDAI public grievance portal at https://pgportal.gov.in/
Step 2: Select a language of your choice
Step 3: Enteryour username, mobile phone number, and email address
Step 4: Enter your password
Step 5: Enter the security code in the space allocated
Step 6: Click on the login button
Step 7: Under the ‘grievance’ tab, select ‘Lodge Public Grievance”
Please note that you must complete the registration process if you are not a registered user. Once you have successfully signed up, follow the steps outlined above.
Once the UIDAI public grievance officer has approved your grievance, it is investigated further and forwarded to the concerned regional office. The case will be handled online by the concerned officer.
Filing Complaints Online through the Resident Portal
A resident portal other than the Aadhaar card customer care number has been made available for users to file their complaints. To lodge their complaints online, one must follow the below-mentioned steps.
Step 1: Visit the resident portal.
Step 2: On the top of the homepage, locate the words ‘Contact & Support’. Select the ‘File a Complaint’ under the ‘Grievance Redressal Mechanism’ option
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page, wherein you will be asked to enter details like name, mobile number, email address, your state, complaint type, complaint for (self/others), and category type.
Step 4: Upload supporting documents and proceed by entering the captcha code displayed on the screen.
